Today we kicked off our COUGAR READING MADNESS CHALLENGE with an awesome assembly! This program has been a great success at Country Trails for the past several years. Outside the main office, our March Madness style bracket is displayed with a list of the books included in the challenge. Book trailers are also available for students to help build the excitement. From now until Spring Break, all of our classes will read all 32 books and gradually eliminate them one by one until we have a champion of COUGARS’ FAVORITE BOOK!

Another exciting event that is quickly approaching is our Family Literacy Night on October 18th. It is an amazing fun filled event for the entire family! This fall, we are excited to tie Literacy Night with the book fairs Enchanted Forest theme.

Lastly, I would like to highlight an awesome kickoff event to our Watch D.O.G.S event that was held earlier this month. The turnout was fantastic and the students are so excited and proud to see these positive male role models enter the school and lend a helping hand. The first wave of Watch D.O.G.S. will be happening in the month of October.

As always, it’s a great day to be a Country Trails Cougar!
